Joy Bremner, a Cree Métis woman originally from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, has lived across much of Canada and currently serves her eighth consecutive term President of the Mid Island Métis Nation. She has held positions on the board of MIMN since the mid-90s and sits on various governance councils with the Nation of British Columbia. Joy’s commitment to the health and growth of children, families, and the Métis Community is a guiding principle of her leadership demonstrated through her roles in local, regional, and provincial assemblies.
